The NEXUS network is made up of individuals and institutions from the following ecosystems:
RESEARCH ECOSYSTEM
The research ecosystem includes research centers, universities and other educational and science, technology- and innovation-generating institutions focused on the intersection between bioeconomy and biodiversity in Colombia and Germany.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM
The entrepreneurship ecosystem is made up of territorial initiatives and companies that are immersed in the value chains and webs of the biodiversity bioeconomy. These initiatives, ventures or companies use natural resources of biodiversity in wild or cultivated form, they process and/or market products from the respective value chains and webs.
INSTITUTIONAL ECOSYSTEM
The institutional ecosystem is made up of those institutions and organizations whose mission is to enable and support the development and maintenance of biodiversity value chains and webs. These institutions may be government agencies, NGOs, investors, among others.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM

Location: Belén de los Adaquíes, Caquetá, Colombia.
We perform the following activities:
- Community monitoring
- Participatory Ecological Restoration
- Environmental and community governance (pedagogy)
- Consolidation and promotion of Non-Timber Forest Products — NTFP value chain (production, transformation and marketing).
What services and products do we produce and provide?
Currently, we produce a delicious CopoAçaí Jam (Combination of açaí and copoazú). In addition, we offer an exclusive line of cosmetics under the Nanökorí brand, formulated with the exclusive SkinSecrets technology:
- Amazonian Açaí (Euterpe oleracea) Facial Serum: Açaí NanoAnthocyanins and Vitamin C.
- Moriche (Mauritia flexuosa) Amazonian Facial Serum: NanoBetacarotenes and vitamin E.
Asociación De Productores Agroindustriales Del Centro Del Cesar “Apagroinc”
Location: Chiriguaná, Cesar, Colombia
We perform the following activities:
- Produce, process and market agricultural products (“uvita de lata” or “corozo”) (Bactris guineensis), with the highest standards of quality, safety and innovation.
- Use of corozo by-products (seeds and animal feed, handicrafts) and integral value addition through agroindustrial transformation.
- Perform vertical integration of the agricultural production process: The company controls all stages, from primary production to industrial transformation and commercial distribution, ensuring traceability, quality and efficiency throughout the chain.
- Intervenimos toda la cadena de valor: establecimientos de viveros, recolección de semillas, siembra, monitoreo con un enfoque sostenible y orientado al mercado local visionando un mercado internacional, cumpliendo con normas sanitarias, ambientales y de calidad
- Intervene throughout the entire value chain: nursery establishments, seed collection, sowing, monitoring with a sustainable approach and oriented to the local market with a vision of an international market, complying with sanitary, environmental and quality standards.

- Perform environmental and community governance (pedagogy and awareness) and participatory ecological restoration.
What services and products do we produce and provide?
We produce wines, jams, pulps, nectars, juices and sauces with high added value, from crops grown under sustainable practices. Our offer includes fresh and processed products, as well as fruits, preserves and by-products, plants for reforestation of watersheds for both local and national markets.

Location: Tame, Arauca, Colombia
We perform the following activities:
Our social purpose: to promote the conservation, recovery and protection of the environment from a community perspective through the implementation of sustainable actions based on technical and community knowledge that range from the design of restoration strategies and services associated with sustainable production and conservation of biodiversity and natural resources.
